Finance and Grants Manager

Location: Singapore

Nature of Work: Full-time

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage the organization's overall budgeting process, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure sustainability and liquidity
Oversee the entire grants management cycle, from budget development during proposal writing to financial reporting and compliance for all active grants
Develop and enforce strong financial controls and procedures across all field offices, conducting regular internal audits
Lead the preparation for and coordination of annual external audits
Train and support non-finance program staff on financial management, compliance, and donor regulations
Manage relationships with institutional donors on financial matters and ensure timely submission of all financial reports
Oversee the payroll process and ensure tax compliance in all countries of operation

Minimum Qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management and grants compliance, with at least 3 years in a headquarters or regional role
Expert proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage) and advanced Excel skills
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in another language (e.g., French, Arabic) is a plus

IT Support Officer

Location: Singapore

Nature of Work: Full-time

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to HQ and remote field staff via helpdesk ticketing system, email, and remote access tools
Administer and maintain cloud-based systems, including user account management, email, and data storage
Manage network infrastructure and ensure cybersecurity best practices are implemented
Procure, configure, deploy, and maintain hardware (laptops, printers, smartphones) and software for all staff
Develop and deliver training for staff on IT policies, security awareness, and effective use of technology
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides
Research and recommend technological solutions to improve operational efficiency, especially for low-bandwidth field environments

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional certification
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Windows OS, and macOS
Experience with network administration, cybersecurity principles, and cloud services
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Experience supporting users in remote or challenging environments is highly desirable

Fundraising and Partnership Development Intern

Location: Singapore

Nature of Work: Part-time (6-month internship)

Essential Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth prospect research on potential institutional donors (foundations, corporations, government agencies) that align with SZM's mission and programs
Support the grant writing process by compiling background information, editing proposals, and ensuring compliance with application guidelines
Assist in drafting high-quality reports for existing donors, gathering inputs from program teams, and ensuring timely submission
Help maintain and update the donor database, ensuring all records are accurate and current
Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns
Attend relevant webinars and meetings to stay informed on donor trends and humanitarian funding landscape
Draft concept notes, partnership profiles, and other materials to support relationship building

Minimum Qualifications:

Current student or recent graduate (within 1 year) in International Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field
Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills in English
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A proactive, curious mindset and a strong desire to learn about the non-profit funding ecosystem
A keen interest in humanitarian work and sustainable development
